And Then Life Happens...

I began this website project with high hopes and a real plan on keeping it busy. You may have noticed a small hiccup in that plan.

Like a two week absence kind of hiccup.

Life has a funny way of messing with plans. One of the first quotations I remember learning is from Robert Burn's poem To A Mouse, On Turning Her Up In Her Nest With a Plough. He reminds the mouse:

"The best laid schemes o' mice an' men / Gang aft agley"

My plans went well "agley".

It all began with a move.

After two years in a very nice apartment complex, we were ready for a little more room. So we found a great house in a wonderful neighborhood and began all the thousand tasks required to move from one place to another. Most of it went exceedingly well.

Except for the internet connection.

Our provider for the last two years has been Verizon, but they are in the middle of a strike by their technicians. After two weeks without any normal access to the web (we could do simple things on our phones - causing me to chew up all my high speed data - but blogging or updating the web sited is just ridiculous), we made a change.

Here's the miraculous part. From the time I left the Comcast store after requesting a service call, till the technician was finished, FINISHED mind you, with the install was a grand total of one hour and forty-five minutes! Astounding.

But now we're back. I am working very hard to get everything set up so we can move forward with the launch of the book. Plus all the other ideas floating around in my head.

But you never when life may decide to happen again!

Peace.
